I M Nanavati Law College

Established in 1958 under the auspices of the Gujarat Law Society (GLS), I.M. Nanavati Law College, originally known as City Law College, stands as one of the premier institutions for legal education in Gujarat. In 1975, the college was renamed in honor of Shri I.M. Nanavati, the then Hon. Secretary of GLS, following his generous donation of ₹2 lakh, which significantly contributed to the college's development.

Affiliated with Gujarat University and approved by the Bar Council of India (BCI), the college offers undergraduate and postgraduate law programs. Recognized under Sections 2(f) and 12(B) of the University Grants Commission (UGC) Act, 1956, I.M. Nanavati Law College has been accredited with a 'B' grade by the National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC).

Situated in the heart of Ahmedabad, opposite the Law Garden in Ellisbridge, the college boasts a compact yet well-equipped campus. The infrastructure includes modern classrooms, a well-stocked library with seating capacity for 50 students, a cafeteria, sports facilities for indoor and outdoor games, Wi-Fi connectivity, and a language lab.

With a student enrollment of approximately 838 and a dedicated faculty strength of 18, I.M. Nanavati Law College continues to uphold its legacy of excellence in legal education, producing professionals who contribute significantly to the legal fraternity and society at large.
