Established on June 20, 1927, Sir L.A. Shah Law College stands as the premier institution of the Gujarat Law Society (GLS) and the first law college in the state of Gujarat. Founded by eminent personalities including Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel, Sheth Shri Kasturbhai Lalbhai, and Shri Ganesh Mavlankar, the college was initially affiliated with the University of Bombay and later became permanently affiliated with Gujarat University in 1950.
Situated in the heart of Ahmedabad, the college offers a comprehensive range of legal education programs, including the three-year LL.B. (General) and LL.B. (Special) degrees, the two-year LL.M. in Business Law, and a Ph.D. in Law.
